Please open back up. I'm going through ADP withdrawals. I need some breadsticks. I've only ever lived in Portland and Corvallis. First time in my life that I can't get American Dream

My favorite PDX pizza shop since i discovered it in the 80s. No other pizza begins to compare in flavor, texture, toppings, and ambiance. Even having been forced to move 100 miles away, i still come in once or twice a month Just for American Dream Pizza! I was heartbroken to read the closing information and the owner's message, but am THRILLED to know they will reopen September 15th! Please keep your spectacular, best-in-the-PNW pizza the same as it is - there is no improving on it. Thank you!!

I hadn't been here for probably 30 years. When I came here with my bestie a few months ago it was like being transported back in time. Nothing seemed to have changed. Same charming wall decor and red seating. We ordered slices and cokes. When our slices were ready, they were just as big, just as delicious as I had remembered. I got a mushroom and olive slice. The sauce was thick and robust, the crust crispy with a hint of garlic salt. It's such a sad yet satisfying feeling when you get to the last bite. I was so tempted to get a slice to go but I'm on a diet and that was my cheat meal of the week and was so worth it. I hear they're going to sell. I hope they sell it to someone who wants to carry on the American Dream. 2024 - Review # 15

This was a spot that a Portland native sent me to as one of her all-time favorites. I could see why. Appreciate the we're-only-hear-for-the-pizza vibe you get when you first walk in handpainted areas throughout the restaurant and boxes stacked to the ceiling. There are only a couple of tables so you might want to claim seats before lining up, if you plan to sit indoors; they go quick. I called in advance from the highway so that I could pick up a whole pizza and drive it up to Seattle. When I opened the box, the pizza looked so good: had to sit down and taste a slice while it was hot. The first thing I noticed was that the pizza was cut tavern style: into squares rather than like pieces of pie. And when I picked up a piece -- the crust was everything: dusted with cornmeal and thin with a nice crunch when you bite. I learned from a Chicago elder that this approach to pizza is what some call the true Chicago style pizza, before thick deep Dish came along and made a name for itself. Added some Parmesan and red pepper flakes.

Delicious pizza with generous prices matched with the sizes. A medium seemed like a large in all other places. Great atmosphere. Would definitely come back. Friendly service

I drive by this place a lot and I decided to get some slices one night. They did not disappoint and I was stuffed afterwards. These are some serious slices and the crust is pretty much a delicious breadstick. You should definitely get some ranch or marinara to dip. The pizza was good, but could be seasoned a little better. I could probably be full on one slice. I didn't try anything else. The staff were nice and the pizza was ready to go pretty quick.

Very generous staff. Feels like original Portland with the cornmeal crust. My absolute favourite. Safe to say that I will choose this Pizza over the others anytime. Two sizes; Large and medium. Safe toppings. Nothing out of the ordinary. Plenty of indoor seating. Draft beer. Sodas. Kid friendly. Average priced against other Pizza joints.
